Ensimmäinen uhri on täällä mainittu Zetor-huivi, ensimmäinen pitsihuivini jota aiemmin koetin valokuvata pilvisenä kesäpäivänä vaihtelevia taustoja vasten tasaisen huonolla menestyksellä. Tällä kertaa kuvasin sen puolipilvisenä talvipäivänä luistinradalla ja se tuntuu toimivan paremmin.

This post contains new photos of old knits. I've been waiting for a sunny day, so I could go outside to take photos and the first item on the agenda were these knits.
First, the Zetor-scarf which I mentioned here. It's my first ever lace shawl, which I previously attempted to photograps on a cloudy summer day against a variety of green backdrops. That didn't work. This time I photographed it on a semi-cloudy winter day against the ice of a skating rink, and that seemed to work a bit better.
Toinen kuvaamani tekele oli pipo, jonka tein aiemmasta tuplapaksusta alpakkapiposta ylijääneistä langoista. Ohjeena käytin String In Motionin Hurricane Hat-kaavaa. Käyttämäni lanka oli huomattavasti ohuempaa, joten silmukkamäärä oli suunnilleen kaksinkertainen alkuperäiseen ohjeeseen verrattuna. Se vaikutti hieman päälaen muodostumiseen, mutta lopputulos oli oikein miellyttävä siitä huolimatta. Pipo on ohut ja kevyt, mutta siitä huolimatta erinomaisen lämmin. Tein joka toisen kerroksen mustalla ja joka toisen kerroksen harmaanruskealla langalla, josta lopputuloksena viehättävä murrettu ruskeanmusta sävy.

The second knit I photographed was a hat made of yarns I had leftover from an earlier thick alpaca hat. I used the Hurricane Hat pattern from String in motion. The yarn I used was considerably thinner so I ended up with about twice as many stitches as in the original pattern. This affected the shaping of the crown a bit, but the end result was nevertheless pleasing. The hat is thin and light, but still very warm. Every other round is knit with black and every other with greyish brown, which creates a lovely off-black shade in the finished hat.
